Scuba is a lofty double-knit fabric that provides amazing structure and a modern, "squishy" feel without being heavy. It’s a favorite for creating bold, architectural shapes that look high-end and feel incredibly comfortable. Feel: Smooth, bouncy, and substantial with a foam-like touch. Stretch: Firm stretch with excellent recovery that smooths out lines. Thickness/Transparency: Thick and fully opaque; no lining required. Drape: Very structured and sculptural drape. Season: Best for cooler temperatures in autumn and winter. What you can make Perfect for structured skirts, modern blazers, and "boxy" sweatshirts. Its thickness also makes it great for making durable laptop sleeves or bags. Care & Sewing Tips Scuba doesn't fray, so you can leave the edges raw for a contemporary look. Use a ballpoint needle (90/14) and avoid high heat when ironing to protect the structure.
